Seraphim Square Mounted Icon

Seraphim is a Mini Square wooden mounted icon by CMT GRAPHICS LLC, measuring 3 × 3 inches with a 0.3-inch thickness. Pale, sweeping wings surround the sacred figure against a deep burgundy background. This compact Orthodox Christian icon brings a distinctive piece of devotional art to a prayer corner, a small shelf, or a meaningful gift.

Seraphim Wooden Mounted Icon

The artwork draws attention to the face at the center of the image and the layered wings that frame it. Soft green and ivory tones stand out against the warm red background, while a fine pale border defines the square composition. The wooden mount gives the image a physical presence that is easy to appreciate in a small devotional setting.

Its balanced square shape suits a place where a larger icon would take up too much room. Place it alongside other sacred images, or give it a small space of its own. The photographs show both the face of the icon and an angled view, helping you see the artwork and the slim wooden edge before choosing it.

The Meaning of Seraphim

In Orthodox Christian tradition, the seraphim are among the heavenly powers. Their six-winged imagery is associated with the vision in Isaiah 6 and with worship before God. To explore this background, read the Orthodox Church in America’s introduction to angels and the heavenly powers.

A Beautiful Addition to a Prayer Corner

Seraphim can be included in a home prayer corner, placed near a prayer book, or arranged with other icons on a suitable shelf. The burgundy background works well beside both darker and lighter wood tones. Its modest dimensions also make it an option for a small devotional space where every item is chosen with care.

When arranging the icon, choose a stable support suited to its size and keep the artwork easy to see. Consider the surrounding space as well as the image itself. A simple setting can help the central figure and the movement of the wings remain the visual focus.

This Seraphim icon is a thoughtful choice for someone who appreciates sacred imagery and small wooden icons. It can accompany a personal note, a prayer book, or another devotional gift. The compact format makes it easy to include in a carefully selected gift without requiring a large display area in the recipient’s home.

Care for Your Wooden Icon

Keep your Seraphim icon indoors in a dry location. Dust it gently with a soft, dry cloth, and avoid soaking the wood or using abrasive cleaners on the image.
